B&F was commissioned by the City of Phoenix Historic Preservation Office to provide full design services for three National Register Historic Districts. B&F was responsible for an assessment which inventoried, categorized, and evaluated the 123 Historic Concrete and Metal Streetlights. The assessment also provided recommendations for preserving and repairing the streetlights. The construction phase restored the streetlights by resetting leaning poles on new bases, repainting existing metal poles, repairing poles, replacing damaged access blocks and other metal and concrete components, and replacing the existing globes with replicas of the original type luminaries. The project also included creating a casting of an original concrete pole to reproduce missing or heavily damaged poles; and replacing missing historic metal poles with matching reproduction poles.
