B&F was selected to complete a section of the project from the tie-in point at North Valley Parkway to just east of Skunk Creek. 95% of the work was in an active roadway. We completed the installation of a new 30-inch sewer and 36-inch water that will supply the future TSMC plant. Project scope also included two major MOPO operations to tie into an existing 54-inch transmission main and two jack and bores across an existing drainage structure. B&F completed the work through an accelerated schedule in less than nine months from award to substantial completion.
The project also involved multiple critical vertical/horizontal realignment, field fit modifications with the engineer, 26-foot-deep concrete encasements, multiple laterals, and cathodic protection in a tight window during material supply issues. Redesign was required for multiple areas in the field after existing conditions changed to make sewer and water tie-ins. The project tested out successfully the first time and finished ahead of schedule.
