This project was completed on the City of Tempe and Mesa Joint Sewer System that conveys the municipalities’ flows from each city to one of the largest wastewater facilities in the US, the 91st Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant operated by the Sub Regional Operators Group (SROG) in Phoenix, Arizona. The project consisted of cleaning and inspecting 48- and 54-inch PVC T-lock RGRCP sewer pipe, CIPP lining 1,590 LF of 48-inch and 200 LF of 54-inch carbon fiber, pipe end seals, replacement of a junction structure with a new polymer junction structure, four carbon fiber manhole bench rehabilitation, T-Lock repair of manholes, and Epoxy rehabilitation of manholes.
B&F worked with the City under preconstruction to complete in pipe as-builting to accurately develop plans and a structure that met the dimensions and angles exactly during construction. B&F provided all general contracting, including installing and operating four separate complex bypass systems, the largest being 27 MGD, and completed all excavation and installation work on the new pipe and structure.
